\u201cThe paradox of lightness through craftsmanship,\u201d was the message pumped into Nad\u00e8ge Vanh\u00e9e\u2019s latest Herm\u00e8s outing, which served as a celebration of the creativity at the heart of the maison\u2019s atelier. The craftspeople at Herm\u00e8s are some of the most talented working in the luxury field, and the designer wanted to highlight the \u201cpalpable touch of the artisan\u201d through the collection itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe atelier as the space of creation, of optimism, of absorption: late to bed, back before the sun rises. Style as something ceaselessly crafted, forged, timeless and unique,\u201d wrote Vanh\u00e9e in her show notes. Despite the immense work that goes into creating a collection, there\u2019s always an easygoingness present in the designer\u2019s work, accentuated here through the use of semi-opaque layers. Lightweight leather jackets walked alongside trousers and skirts that unzipped right up the leg, while low-slung skirts and double-waisted trousers came paired with casual sports bras.<\/p>\n

In a muted palette of beige, cream and khaki, with an injection of hot pink coming slap bang in the middle of the show, the subtly\u00a0 <\/span>sporty, quietly sensual wardrobe came accompanied by a stellar family of accessories. Most notably clogged candles and a reversed Birkin, which came with its details displayed on the outside; a must-have for Herm\u00e8s lovers globally.<\/p>\n
